College was a blast for a straight A’s student of Literature. His professor gave him free rein, knowing that whatever Russell handed in was always first rate even though it was all ‘last minute’ work. He’d obviously in his life already read, and read, and read some more. That gave him far too much time to attend to the other subject he was majoring in – girls, girls and then some more girls. Russell Newhouse had a way with him and generally got away with it all.

He came unstuck with the girls – if that’s the right way of putting it – when he’d had enough of Celeste. In the sack, she was athletic to Olympic standard and she was always hungry for sex. Didn’t see herself as part of Russell’s relay team and was reluctant to take her hand off the baton and pass him on to the next girl in line.

Now they had decided it was time to show how much they had integrated by adopting English instead of Yiddish as the language of choice for all their business. One candidate stood out – and by unanimous approval Russell found himself voted in as Secretary.
